Valve Shim Calculator (Microsoft Excel Worksheet) (updated Jan 2007)
This Excel tool tells you which shims to use above each individual valve stem to obtain your desired valve clearance. You specify the exact clearance to .0005 inch (Exhaust and Intake can be different).
It also keeps track of your shim inventory and builds a purchase list of shims you need to complete the adjustment.
It is written for Jaguar 6 and 12 cylinder engines, but will work with any engine that requires shims to adjust valve lash.
