Page6: Assembly and Modifications

Assembly went reasonably well (there remain a few small things to be done). With the engine in place, Cleaning, Painting and Installing the sub-systems in the engine compartment took the better part of a week. During the last couple of years I've fantasized about an XJ12C HE, so I've been scheming various modifications for some time. Here's a list which have made it on the car so far. Some of these are referenced in the photos which are now attempting to load at the bottom of your page. Coming next couple of years will be a Borg Warner WC T-5 from a 92 Ford Mustang. In the mean time, here are a bunch of images of the restoration, in a somewhat ordered fashion. Click on any photo for an enlarged version.

Finally, here's the other 1976 XJ12 Coupe that we used to own. We sold it to a fellow who was moving to Boise. This was a very original car with under 60k miles total. In this picture I had temporarily replaced the stock wheels with the chrome lattice ones from our SIII XJ12.
